IE Design is looking for an Intermediate Structural/Architectural Designer to Join our London Office and work with our Team. The potential candidate will develop BIM Models and prepare the REVIT drafting of Residential/Commercial/Industrial/Institutional projects, help with technology advancement through using state-of-the-art technology, perform site reviews to compile information for upcoming/future projects, and complete general reviews/inspections for projects under construction.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of Structural/Architectural University and/or Architectural Technology Program
- Proficient in drafting using REVIT and AutoCAD
- Minimum Experience of 2-3 Years in Structural/Architectural Drawings
- Strong REVIT experience in Structural /Architectural Engineering and relevant site experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and multi-tasking
- Attention to details is a must
- Strong knowledge of Concrete and Steel buildings and High-rise Buildings construction
- Independent, Self-motivated and Self-learning with minimum supervision
- Willingness to learn state-of-the-art related technologies and work on professional and personal growth
- Access to Vehicle and are willing to travel to construction sites throughout Southwestern Ontario.

- Prepare Drawings, with High Attention to Details, Through Preliminary Systems Layouts, Coordination Sets, Permit Sets, to Final Working Drawings
- Perform Site Visits, and Complete General Reviews for Projects under Construction
- Review Shop Drawings and Compile Information for Future Projects

- Preference to P.Eng. Holders
- Proficient in drafting using REVIT and AutoCAD
- Strong Knowledge of Analyses and Design of Concrete, Steel, Masonry and Wood Buildings
- Strong REVIT experience in Structural Engineering and relevant site experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and multi-tasking
- Attention to Details is a must
- Strong knowledge of Concrete and Steel buildings and High-rise Buildings construction and drafting
- Independent, Self-motivated and Self-learning with minimum supervision
- Willingness to learn state-of-the-art related technologies and work on professional and personal growth

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analysis, Design, Evaluation of Concrete, Steel, Wood, Masonry Buildings
- Ensure construction plans and specifications meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations. Familiarity with Parts 4 and 9 of the Ontario Building Code is required.
- Site investigation and evaluation of existing building structures and write field reports and review shop drawings
- Work within the project team environment from preliminary stages of the design through to completion
- Review and seal their own and junior engineer’s design work as applicable
- Other tasks as assigned by the Structural Engineering Manager
- Develop REVIT models and AutoCAD drawings of structural engineering drafting plans, elevations and sections
- Develop BIM and REVIT Models for Structural Projects
- Prepare Drawings, with High Attention to Details, Through Preliminary Structural Systems Layouts, Coordination Sets, Permit Sets, to Final Working Drawings
- Perform site reviews to compile information for upcoming projects and complete general reviews/inspections for projects under construction. A vehicle will be required for site visits to job sites.
